Looking for the best barbecue in Tucson and perhaps all of Arizona? Bubb’s Grub serves award winning BBQ in a casual and comfortable atmosphere. Who would suspect that some of the best Texas barbeque around is actually cooked right here in Southern Arizona? The owner has apparently been serving some of the best beef brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, among other barbecued favorites since the 1990s.

From what I have read, the owner started cooking award winning barbecue in his home state of Wisconsin before moving to his current location in Catalina Arizona. He has earned several awards for his barbecue and sauces in Las Vegas Nevada, Scottsdale Arizona, St. Louis Missouri, and in his home state of Wisconsin, according to several articles on the web.

Arizona and Wisconsin are a far cry from Texas, but one taste of the slow cooked beef brisket, and you’d swear you were in Texas Hill County. The beef brisket, pulled pork, ribs and hotlinks are some of the best around regardless of location.

Dan hasn’t forgotten his roots and offers a Wisconsin Fish Fry on Friday evenings. Green Bay Packers fans will also find a home a Bubb’s Grub. Bubb’s Grub also offers sports fans big screen viewing in the restaurant’s “Big Ten Saloon”.

Bubb’s Grub is all about the food. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. My favorite is definitely the two meat combo with both brisket and pulled pork. The cole slaw is also very tasty and compliments the barbecue perfectly.

I found the restaurant atmosphere is relaxed and laid back, reflecting the slower pace of Catalina Arizona. Bubb’s Grub take-out is fast and efficient and the staff always friendly. So, if you like barbecue and find yourself near Tucson, head north to Bubb’s Grub. You won’t be disappointed.
